James Beattie Player/Coach

Former England striker James Beattie is in talks over a player-coach role at League Two Accrington Stanley.
Free agent Beattie, 34, could link up with his former Blackburn team-mate Leam Richardson who is Accrington's manager.

Yes.

Re: James Beattie Player/Coach

A good starter , never mind "sub". Paddy would have the perfect foil in an experienced goaol scorer. We are without doubt lacking an additional forward. Alvi

What an exciting thought this potential appointment would be. BTW is Leam still player/manager or has he now retired from playing?

Observer says we are in talks with two strikers, 1 a loan player and the other a free agent - "fans will be pleased with them" says Leam.

Good signing I reckon
