January recruits

Not sure of state of finances a the club, but on the assumption that we have a little money for wages, do people think we need strengthening and if so, where?

For me we're 4 short to make a promotion push - a goalkeeper to replace the unfortunate Bavs, an experienced centre back, a full time right back (not a makeshift) and a sitting midfielder.

Agree with you about the goalkeeper and right back. I think a fully-fit Deano is ok at centre back. I would prefer a moving midfielder. But seriously, I would have thought we have more than enough midfielders, sitting or otherwise. If James Beattie stays, our strike force is ok; if he moves on, we need a centre forward (or even striker) who can hold the ball and lay it off accurately when and where needed. Podge must be applauded for all his non-stop effort, but he has limitations as a target man.

Re: January recruits

Think we need to move one or two on to release funds. The two lads on loan from Watford, Shepherd, Chippendale, who I think deserves a run of games but get feeling he's not in Leam's first 16, etc
