Unhappy Jon Kennedy

Wretched news about Jon's injury. He will be greatly missed in the Stanley goal. I think, overall, his performances this season have been high quality and he progessively gets better with every game. Very best wishes, Jon, for your rapid recovery and return between the posts.

Bad news, however Alcock looked pretty good in pre-season.

Yeah, shame for Jon. Hope he recovers soon.

One thing, though, it presents Danny Alcock with a great chance to establish himself in the team. Let's hope he takes it with both hands... if you'll forgive the goalkeeping pun.

Re: Jon Kennedy

If Danny saw John's selections last season then he'll know that he dosent really like to give a 'keeper a regular spot and will change the keeps at any good or bad form from either keeper so if Danny can impress in his four and a half month then maybe he can keep the spot but unlikely as Jon has been superb this season.

Re: Jon Kennedy

i think it is a big shame for us to lose such a quality keeper, but i think it will be danny's big chance, p.s. does nobody seem to think that it was a big mistake losing speare? i though he was a great goalie and didnt deserve the slagging he got by coley and belly when we went to watch rovers at the end of last season. at bournemouth he was outstanding and kept us in it home and away.

I feel sorry for Jon & hope he's soon recovered but want to wish Danny all the best for tonight, talk about being thrown in at the deep end - in front of the cameras & everything - but I'm sure he'll do a good job for us.

Very sad news about J.K. get well soon mate. From what I saw of D.A. this evening, he will fill the goalies boots well and should provide J.C. with a serious problem when J.K. is fully fit again. Well played Danny
