Keep your shirt on :)

Brilliant news from Andy Holt on twitter, we're keeping the red Adidas shirt for a third season & the blue away shirt for a second one
Also the black shirts will soon be available to buy in the club shop

Re: Keep your shirt on :)

The current kit is classy. Of that there can be little doubt.
It’s funny how it seems such a big deal with fans who, it seems, feel £75 better off because they won’t now HAVE to buy a new one.
Nowt as queer as folk.

You certainly have a way of twisting words, I was simply praising the club for sticking with the kit most people seem to like instead of changing for the sake of it & to squeeze more money out of it's supporters

Re: Keep your shirt on :)

I think the £75 ones are for his Leeds lot, Stanley charge £40 top.

Wonder if Leeds gets promoted and he swaps back again.

The price is about £6-8, less after the game.

The cost is loss of soul and dignity.

Re: Keep your shirt on :)

Accymad - I was not twisting your words, believe me.
On Twitter there is are a lot of people grateful that the club has not changed kit (as I think people on here are too?)
The reason for that gratitude is that they won't have to buy another. The phenomenon is not confined to Accrington.

The point I'm making is a general one. I don't understand people who own dogs, don't understand people who go on cruises and don't understand people who feel compelled to buy expensive football shirts. (including the classic 1970's Leeds shirt)

I've no idea where I got £75 for a shirt though????

Fair enough - call it a case of crossed wires

P.s - Can understand why people want to wear replica shirts but can't understand why anyone would ever want to buy any Leeds shirt, even a classic one - makes me shudder at the very thought of it

Re: Keep your shirt on :)

I knew a bloke from Belfast who was a Leeds fan. His parents were responsible for him supporting super Leeds. He lived in very bad poverty and one Xmas his parents bought a plain white T shirt (and white shorts and socks) and painted “8” on the back of it.
Mentally scarred him, but he stuck with it.
