Re: Local boozers

Well there's one right outside the ground but I don't know what it's like. It's called The Crown.

There are a number of pubs around the ground, but the best one is The Crown, which is directly in front of the ground.

A warm welcome is assured, although they don't do food on match days (I don't think).

Re: Local boozers

suggest you try the Whittakers Arms on Burnley Road, opposite the cemetary. Usually has Moorhouse's Pride of Pendle on tap, which is probably one of the best beers in the world... it's only about 5-10 mins walk from the ground (via cricket club and highams) suggest you drink plenty to drown your sorrows... you will be beaten

you cannot beat the crown when it comes to a warm welcome. Bring a scarf along to donate to all the others on bennys wall. A good beer garden and a good chance of a sing song prior to kick off.

all in all the crown is on the doorstep of ground and the clubhouse will be open for you after the game with big sky tele and a good pint.
