Matchday Programs

As most of you know I always enter the guess that gate completion and have won it on a couple of occasions. I won the Torquay and Mab was good enough to deliver the goods after yesterdays match, Thanks Mark. After spending an hour having a good read, I just thought what a difference in today's program as to when I first started going to matches 60 years ago, there was a lad stood on a corner shouting "programs tuppence each" they are now three quid but well worth it. The Matchday Booklets makes good reading especially for somebody like myself who can only rely on what I read on here and in the press, not being able to make games anymore. One thing that did interest me was shirt sponsorship, so if I'm still around next season I'm going to take out a sponsorship seeing there seems to be quite a few untaken

As Stanley's your second team, I reckon that's a fantastic gesture, John. Well done, mate!

Re: Matchday Programs

On the Matchday programme theme, there must be a market out there for exiles of Accrington and Stanley fans away from the Club to have a subscription service to have the Programme delivered to your Inbox in PDF Format.

I would not have thought it to difficult to set-up and an untapped source of income and more power for picking up advertisers?

As one of the above I would say that I prefer the paper copy as opposed to a pdf. It's just not the same without boxes of th ethings cluttering up the spare room and the wife complaining as I add to the collection.

The club do have a subscription service for the paper ones but it doesn't seem to be very well publicised and only covers league games however it does mean that I can get a programme for the home games when I can't get down.
