Perhaps terming our managing duo as ‘genii’ is bordering on hyperbole. It could be said that their blond winger was a goal waiting to happen and steps should have been taken earlier to prevent this. Acting after the event is not genius !

Also since their genii status has been suggested, I find it hard to accept that when we do go down to 10 men, no substitutions are made so the labouring 10 men, labour on to the bitter end. Perhaps not the most current example, but when Pearson was sent off in the 1 1 draw with Carlisle last year, no fresh legs were provided.

That said, there has been a noticeable change of heart this season and players not exactly flood onto the pitch, but changes are now being made. Might it be that the parent clubs of our loanees expect game time at some point ?
