Music Hall Joke -the update
Top comedy writer, Andy Hamilton (Drop the Dead Donkey, etc.) has updated the Stanley joke theme in today's Trevor's World of Sport.
It was obvious that Stanley would be mentioned from early in the half hour programme on Radio 4, and they were, about 5 or 6 times. But when one character says, "Accrington Stanley, who are they?", the reply is, " the Real Madrid of the Pennines ". [Follow the link if you want to hear it all, there is another joke in it that made me laugh, about wages.
