Club statement
Accrington Stanley has been granted a seven day adjournment from the High Court to pay the remainder of the £308,000 owed to HM Revenue and Customs.

This morning the club made a payment to HMR&C of £96,000 with a further payment of over £100,000 to be made later today. Shareholders Ilyas Khan and Peter Marsden were present in court and have offered to make up any shortfall required to satisfy the the winding up order.

Yep you are right KSH, Ive just listened to the interview again on 2Br's site and deffo said £10k not £100k..............in all honesty I can only think that Rob was so flustered (He sounded really emotional on the radio) that He made a 'mistake' re the figures involved....................yeah I know, Stanley and the word 'figures' are a weird combination

Isn't the extra £100,000 to be paid today, the £100,000 that was "now promised by the PFA" (see Tealeaf's report from the court) rather than any (new) money from O'Neil/Heys/the directors?

Ahh, now then that would explain it all....................so He WAS telling the truth then..........I wouldnt be suprised if He tries that one also!!!!
