Great battling performance from Stanley - despite the poor defending that led to their goal it was the defence that won the point for t’Owd Reds.
At times Wednesday showed why they are threatening the other play off sides, but thought Stanley did well to restrict them to five shots on target. And plaudits to the ref  who let the game flow, didn’t blow up every time someone fell over, and got most important decisions right. |

Great pressure from Stanley and Sykes header on target earned the equaliser. Keeper fluffed the save and seemed to push the ball onto his own player which rebounded into the net. Stanley heads never dropped after going behind, and kept going to the end. Well done Stanley.

Nice result STANLEY-and sure ****ed off my Wednesday mate who I play golf/drink with...he was not a happy chappy. Serves him right. I'm only annoyed I couldnt follow the game as I was at work and required a covid test, which sadly has come back positive, so by the time I got home to begin isolation, game was all over.
