Re: Rochdale bus
The Church Inn is your best bet for a pub, its about 100 yards from the away turnstiles. There is also the Ratcliffe Arms and Studds bar on the site of the ground and a chippy 3 yards from the away turnstiles aswell.
Here is a picture of the away end, hope you can find a space in amongst the 3,600 seats.

Re: Rochdale bus
Just got this from the Rochdale site
Quote:
THE CHURCH INN This public house can be found on the corner of Willbutts Lane, very close to the away end. Normally frequented by away supporters and always busy on a matchday. Within staggering distance of the busiest parts of the ground.
Away supporters can also enjoy a pre-match pint in the ground as alcohol is served at the refreshment hut under the stand

Re: Rochdale bus
I lifted this from "Football ground Guide". Take the drums boys..
"Away supporters are housed in the Willbutts Lane Stand (recently renamed the Westrose Leisure Stand), where the view of the action and the facilities are pretty good. Up to 4,000 supporters can be accommodated in it and normally away fans are confined to the centre of the stand. If required, then this stand can be split between home and away fans. The acoustics are excellent, so away fans can really make some noise from within it. This, coupled with both home ends singing and the obligatory drummer, makes for a good atmosphere. If Rochdale do score then 'Tom Hark' by the Piranhas blasts out around the ground from the p.a. system.
I would say that Spotland in my book, is one of the best footballing days out in the country. Friendly & knowledgeable fans, good stewards, good facilities, three pubs located at the ground, a great range of pies on offer and not a bad atmosphere to boot. In other words, all the right elements to make for a great day out. Add a pretty lady on my arm, my team winning six nil and I'll think that I have been transported to heaven! "

Well technically it is, I just call it an away 'end' whether it is actually an end or a side.
