Chester City have parted company with their manager and apparently our very own John Coleman is favourite to take over.

I'm there to be shot down but I can't see Coley taking it on.
He will see that he has grown this club form an infancy to late teens. Maybe he might feel that he can't take us much, if any, further - but how far could he take Chester? and would the money or facilities be any better? I'd be surprised .......

I don't really see what the Chester job would offer Coleman, especially as his job is pretty secure at Accrington. Vaughan goes through managers at quite a rate, although he is a friend of Coley's.
I first read about this rumour last month, way before Davies was sacked at Chester. However, the rumours are running wild at the moment and remember, Coleman has been linked with the Chester job in the past.

I could see him thinking Chester have more potential, but couldn't see him ditching his current set of players to work with theirs in the same league.
He'd be after upwards not sideways

So Season 2007-2008 was a poor one ? Well.... We got a new roof, & a bar on the Clayton End & a new school in Nepal. Beat an Ex-Premiership side away, had some more tarmac laid over the puddles & saw a 3 inch high header. ASFC Youth system saw youth inthe first team & more importantly we signed a "pub"! Remember 6 points off Morecambe & paid our highest fee ever for a player. All this & still "light" years ahead of Barrow & Worksop!!!!! The Voice of the Terrace WWW.STANLEYULTRAS.CO.UK |

12 managers in seven years (Whally went through 12 managers in 12 weeks (ish) pre-Coley)
rumours abound about possible administration that would probably put them in the Conference ................. he'd be daft to even consider it

Just assuming the rumours are true who would we get to replace him on our limited resources,seems funny, these rumours have to start somewhere ?.Then stan ternant gets sacked ????????????

Rumours are best ignored i reckon, if stuff happens thens the time to wonder.
 how many football rumours are in the press on a weekly basis? wish i had a tenner fer last 5 years worth.
