Saturdays match

Hello,

Me again, Well done to those who mad the trip to Cambridge Yesterday, 136 in the South Stand.

Hope you enjoyed the day, even if you didn’t enjoy the match, but no doubt the Golden Gamble winner enjoyed it.

My thoughts on the match. Excellent start from your team for the first 15 minutes, shocking mistake from your keeper help us out, and left your defence nervous about him for the rest of the half.

Was good to see an away team that was looking to play some attacking football which helped the game for both sides. Yourteam look good when going forward, but not so good when put under pressure in defence - probably due to the keepers mistake.

Excellent support from your fans, the noisiest so far this season (!), and will most probably be the noisiest, man-for-man we will get all season - top marks, respect.

Even heard some of you had to be kicked out of the ground - Well it was 15 minutes after the game had finished and they wanted to clear the ground. Not surprisingly your supporters are getting some favourable comments on the Cambridge Site.

See you on the 21st January - Enjoy your football.

P.S. - We’ve overtaken you in the league !!

Re: Saturdays match

Nice to see someone coming on to our chatroom and praising the away support. I am certain it will be well received in these parts and no doubt, when you make the trip oop north to our gaffe, we will make you just as welcome. See you in January.

You might have admired the drum from the other end of the ground, but sat in the same stand it was hard not to slash it with a machete!

Re: Saturdays match

Thanks for your post, Darren. Fair summary of the game - don't know what the heck our emergency keeper tried to do with that shot he seem to have covered, but he certainly lit the blue touch paper under your side by his error.
Amazed how the new look U's have settled - full marks to the boss. We obviously have yet to gel and, hopefully, having 'won' the second half , will be one step nearer to achieving that. Could have done without having to break-in yet another new goalie v. exeter this sat tho ! Smashing ground you have, friendly atmosphere and great match prog. Good luck for the rest of the season and perhaps we can give you more of a contest next time around.

Nice one, Darren, didn't get to go there, but , so good to see that not all our opposing 'fans' choose to slag us off on our own forum!!!
