season 2005-2006 pledges to the club

The new season is fast approaching and it is now time to start making new pledges to Accrington Stanley Football club.

I will start off by pledging £100 to Accrington Stanley if they have acheived 42 points or more by 1st January 2006.

I will also pledge £50 to Accrington Stanley if Jonathon Smith scores 18 or more goals for Barrow during the 2005-2006 season (league games only)

Rob will no doubt read these pledges and add them to the "pledges to the club " section of the match day programs.(Rob please put the above pledges in my proper name not the forum name)

Could someone please make this thread "sticky" as I don't know how to. Thanks.

I'll pledge £1 for every goal scored in the league.

Won't include the other games as they might play the ultras again

Re: season 2005-2006 pledges to the club

Last season, I pledged £5 for every home gate over 2,000. I ended up owing the princely sum of £15 (although to be fair I doubled the amount I sent to Rob).

This season, I'm pledging a fiver for every league and cup home gate over 1,500. Will I end up with some explaining to do to Mrs H. at the end of the season? It's all down to the sporting public of Accrington and district...

Re: season 2005-2006 pledges to the club

Last season I pledged £5 for every goal which Rory scored in both the Conference and the F.A. Cup . I haven't seen any stats but I'd like to pay my dues . Does anyone have a record ?
BTW , I also promised an extra £1 for each Paul Cook assist to those Prendergast goals.
I don't suppose that'll break the bank !

rory got seven goals last season, i don't know how many were assists from paul cook but at a £1 a throw it probably won't break the bank?

Thanks , Rob .

Possibly a slight misunderstanding here .

When Cooky joined Stanley I was immediately impressed by the quality of his distribution to Rory on the left , and I always looked forward to seeing them on the pitch at the same time. Unfortunately , for various reasons , they didn't take to the field together very often last season .

Nevertheless , I'll treat my pledge as if Paul contributed to every one of Rory's goals .

A cheque for £42 will be with you this week

Karen, what are you on about? A pledge is something you make over the course of a whole season, not from week to week...isn't it?

Anyway, there's still not enough, so come on, get pledging!
