There’s a conflict in what you say ....... “hard to say” but then expect £2 mill ?
I think an owners view and a managers view will conflict here so it might come down to how far Andy will back Coley.
Can you guarantee he will be a roaring success in the championship?.
There’s a bit of a Dutch auction going on and Acci will benefit from this.
Mr Holt will know when the price is right!!!
The lads progressed in the last 18 months, but how much is that down to his team mates/style of football Acci play?,lot of un-answered questions for me,but i
Will sit on the fence —£2m is a lot of money for a player who didn’t force his way into His previous clubs starting eleven

Re: Signings

Really hoping Kayden will keep his feet on the ground & stay with us for another season, these bigger clubs showing so much interest is bound to be tempting but how many have taken the next step too soon only for it to go horribly wrong.
I don't think the window staying open until 9th August is a good thing, the prospect of maybe losing any of our lads only a week into the new season doesn't seem very fair

Why is he ?
Charlie Wyke for instance is going for far less.
If he doesn't sign a new contract what is he going to be worth at the end of this season ?
A fine balancing act.

I'm in full agreement.
He's worth nowhere near £2 mill people need to get real.

To us he is because we'd struggle to replace him if he went on deadline day, it's not necessarily all about the actual £ signs

Re: Signings

If someone wants to pay that kind of money,so be it,is the player worth that money is a different argument!!!
From a Acci point of view (in football terms),can’t afford to lose him.
His pace gave us a different dimension, which ultimately lead to promotion.
We definitely need another forward, central mid ,centre half and keeper.
Think the keeper will be a loan tho !!!

Did a championship club not sign a 17 yr old that looked very promising for a lot more than that? if thats the case you need to get real.

Re: Signings

To me he's worth the difference between staying up reasonably comfortably, or going down. So about 800k.

Is he the difference between possibly going up or staying down? No i dont think so. But that difference is about £7m.

£1m would make a massive difference to the CLUB and I dont t think keeping him would. He HAS to be sold.

Re: Signings

He has been offered an improved contract which is the correct move by the club so he can't move on for peanuts if he signs it if not be is going get has much as we can and good luck to the lad.

Re: Signings

We have 4 reasonably high value players in Kee, McConville, Clark and Jackson. I cant see Kee or McConville wanting to move on too much - been there done that and not had the best experience. Jackson and Clark will be hungry for the chance and Id imagine would struggle to turn down any reasonable opportunity.

As a club that is still far behind the bottom of League 2, in terms of infrastructure and revenue, we simply have to sell if the price approaches acceptable.

We sold Beckles last year for a relative snip, and now Ipswich are supposedly preparing a bid. We could hold onto Jackson and he have another good season and double his value, or he could be exposed. Its all a gamble and personally Id cash out

Cashy,

Honest question. Who is worth more in your opinion ? Jackson or Donacien ?
Fees / values are all opinions.
What's a player worth ? What someone will write on the cheque.
I can't see anyone paying £2mill for Jackson.
I don't know who you are referring to but there are rules governing fees for youngsters.
