Southport

Me and Frank where looking to go to the Southport game today.. but travel seems a bit of a problem as far as I know there isnt any trains from anywhere local..

Any ideas?

Maybe a bit late now but I think you may have to go to either Preston or Liverpool for a connection.

Went to match - nice ground - mind you they were in the league a few years ago. What the hell happened? We were outplayed and outfought in every department, and our attack was totally meaningless.

Never mind, we'll do a lot better against Burton - or else!!

I suppose it is hard to get motivated playing a friendly against a team from a lower league in very hot conditions, but that shouldn't be any excuse for our display. I wonder what sort of team we will put out tonight against Great Harwood. If it was up to me it would be the full first team squad to make up for Saturday's display. Let's hope we have more commitment and passion next Saturday and for the rest of the season otherwise it is going to be a long hard treck.

For anybody looking at trains to southport there is now an hourly bus service from balckburn to southport, via preston run by stagecoach. If i remeberr righlty this service started i tink october time last year.
