Stanley fail just in a rip snorter.
 Yesterday,Havelock Nth Stanley (in yellow) faced the Havelock Nth Cyclones-unbeaten for 3 and a half years.We played them earlier and lost 1-2.Yesterday it was a 0-1 defeat we suffered.But by crikey it was a rip snorter of a game.The posts were hit twice by us and once by them.Its now a break for the school holidays and we go to it with a record of Played 8 Won4 Lost 2 Drawn 2 For 18 Against 5  On the STANLEYS On

There's more movement in that photo than we saw all last season at the Crown.

I'll tell you what ALVIN, there's lots of young men playing in the top two levels of NZ footy that would do OK in FL2, and dozens and dozens of youngsters that,with the right coaching, would succeed in the English game.
Prince Phillip once told me I should never 'drop' names , but Bobby Goulds grandson told me this year that he(Bobby Gould) is getting a few $$ to scoutout talent for an unnamed premier side.Those two fellows in my yellow team on the right (clearly seen) are destinded for the higher levels of NZ footy.
