Re: Stanley Reserves Yes/No ?
According to last weeks Accy Observer our reserve team has been accepted into the Pontins League, playing against the likes of Burnley & Blackpool reserves.

Re: Stanley Reserves Yes/No ?
I have heard a rumour that Stanley Reserves may not be playing at FES and that they may be playing at Clitheroe. Some other teams reserves may be playing at FES. Only a rumour so don't quote me.

Re: Stanley Reserves Yes/No ?
That's nothing new though Jeff, Stanley's reserves haven't played regularly on our ground for a couple of seasons now which I think is a shame, especially when all & sundry seemed to play there last season and our reserves got kicked out of their league for not being able to fulfill their fixtures, the result I think of not having a fixed place to play their games

Re: Stanley Reserves Yes/No ?
Burnley reserves use FES though to avoid recking their pitch further so rent ours then seems daft we use clitheroe - very strange

Re: Stanley Reserves Yes/No ?
if we pay less for clitheroe pitch than burnley pay for ours then its very good business..

Re: Stanley Reserves Yes/No ?
Well yes not disputing that better to get a few extra quid to the club as long as the pitch dont get wrecked with extra usage

Re: Stanley Reserves Yes/No ?
Its the same usage isnt it.. if we didnt let burnley use it and we used it then no money and same use... OR no one use it then whats the point of having it

Re: Stanley Reserves Yes/No ?
Too many games last season caused havoc with the quality of the pitch despite all the hard work of ant; but if we're making a wedge on the burnley games then we've got to keep that deal - especially now FCUoM won't be playing at the FES anymore.

Re: Stanley Reserves Yes/No ?
How many games did FCUM play there.. 2 or 3 at most... you can hardly say that was a big impact... There where lots of other games and not just advertised ones.. other clubs used the pitch during the day... A bit OTT to name just one club that used the ground twice isnt it.
