all I get is a series of 'stills', audio seems ok.... do I need to sort out some other software?

The clip should work fine in Windows Media Player.
Do the other clips work ok?

You could try to save the clip onto your computer (right click the link and select "save target as") this will eliminate a slow internet connection.

Is your computer sluggish in general? if so you may have too much stuff running at once.

There 3rd goal was defo offside. I was sat in the seats and online with the player who played the ball FORWARDS across the box for the other player to tap in
