Saturday 2nd Jan 2010 Pitch update at 10.30am: MATCH OFF The match referee has called our FA Cup third round match against Gillingham off due to the unforecasted heavy snow that has fallen in the last hour and a half. A date for the rearranged fixture will be announced shortly.

Due to today’s postponement both Stanley and Gills will now be in the F.A. Cup fourth round draw that will be made tomorrow (Sunday 3 January), and if their opponents are Premiership then this will be an added incentive.

I wonder what odds you would get on Stanley being the only East Lancs club still in the cup at 5pm this evening. Probably wont happen, but you never know.
