Maybe down to the passion we keep saying we want to see ?
Or maybe not, but might be worth the benefit of the doubt on a night like this ....

Re: vs Poodles
well done Stanley!! I never had the chance to watch it but I was following... sad we lost it, but proud to see what the Stans have done against a team 2 divisions higher

Re: vs Poodles
I've been back about 15 minutes, but what a good night it was in the Midlands.
Ok, so we conceded 3 goals and rode our luck all night, but every player on the pitch tonight gave 100% for the Stanley cause and I can't ask anymore than that. There's no doubt that Wolves were the better side and we were under pressure throughout, but the passion shown by the players was first class.
Rocky actually had a good game and he had to go as the last man, but I think everyone in the ground felt sorry for him when he saw red.

I was surprised how many there were there actually. It's hard to tell in a stadium so large, but I'd guess around 250+.

Re: vs Poodles
Got back half hour ago. Agree most players gave 100% but Miles didnt look interested when he came on looked knackered. Kenny was magic and pulled off some great saves and Rocky played with passion. Pity Miles hasnt got any.

Re: vs Poodles
Rocky got a rousing reception despite the red card, proud to be a red tonight. Moaning should be banned...............

So Season 2007-2008 was a poor one ? Well....
We got a new roof, & a bar on the Clayton End & a new school in Nepal. Beat an Ex-Premiership side away, had some more tarmac laid over the puddles & saw a 3 inch high header. ASFC Youth system saw youth inthe first team & more importantly we signed a "pub"! Remember 6 points off Morecambe & paid our highest fee ever for a player. All this & still "light" years ahead of Barrow & Worksop!!!!!
