Sadly passed away on the 21st September aged 84, minute silence to be held before Oxford match

Goalkeeper at Stanley when I first started going to Peel Park. Don't remember too much as I was only a nipper but he was part of a very good Stanley team which included Walter Galbraith. R.I.P. Willie, condolences to his family.

Sorry to hear that. Had a few pints with him and my old feller in the "deep end" at the Stop & Rest. He was a smashing bloke and, from what I've been told, a very talented player. RIP Willie.
