We were away last week and on the 1st night the dogs biscuits had been eaten, heard a rustling sound on the 2nd night so went to investigate and found this guy

Left him some biscuits out every night after, can't half eat though, left him up to 10 and he hate the lot, bet he wonders where we are now, no easy feast for him anymore :)

We have a hedgehog that comes into our garden most nights around 11pm.

They are cute...I wouldn't touch it though, as Margaret says, they are rumoured to be full of fleas.

I had heard, maybe a google would confirm it, but, if the fleas are removed from a hedgehog it would go into withdrawal, because being the way they are they can't naturally remove the fleas and so can't get used to living without them, is it true?

Fleas - can be controlled by sprinkling the hedgehog’s back with a powder used on birds to control lice and mites. Hedgehogs do not need their fleas. Hedgehog fleas are special to the hedgehog and do not normally live on any other animal. NEVER SPRAY HEDGEHOGS WITH DOG OR CAT FLEA SPRAYS AS THEY MAY BE TOXIC TO THE HEDGEHOG
