Another spider for you to look at until the one xaccy took comes out of hibernation.

I think you may have just missed the 10 minutes allowed for editing, xaccy .
Can you try again?

Please accept my ignorance Susie, I am not really into insecty things and only tried macro out of curiosity. I will probably get rid of my new macro lens now I have lost interest.

I have some great photos of proper big cranes that don't fly though.

Only because Gremlin pulled two off to confuse you. It really is a flying spider!

I would never suggest you were ignorant... and whatever it is it's still a good picture. Don't give up with the macro!

Nikon AF-S DX Micro NIKKOR 40mm f/2.8G Lens but I prefer to you manual focus.

No VR on it though so you need a steady hand or a tripod, in my case I use a walking stick/monopod.

Re: spider

Great pic, but not fond of the subject matter.......I am just about getting to grips with insecty/arachnid/gastropod type pics.......it is davemac to blame for this......I'm still a bit chary though.
I'm sure Davemac will be along shortly to tell you what kind of spider it is.
