Did you not wait and take more as it was 'pumping' blood into it's wings. It does take a while as when the wings are fully out the dragonfly has to wait for them to harden before it can fly. It can take up to two hours!!
Great pic tho'

They also have one in the Observer every week .. although does have to be related to local interest .. well ya' never know .. 'tis good.
