Re: Did the Earth move for you?

Strange thing was, for those ten seconds my Parkinson's went away.

I guess the shakes cancelled each other out.

Re: Did the Earth move for you?

I'm peeved now, I never felt a thing, I shouted at the lad because he wasn't asleep, them bollocked him again for waking his mother up only to be told by both of the the house shook, Don't know how I missed that. Feel like s*** though, I was fine up to then.

Re: Did the Earth move for you?

dont want to be a Jerimiah and bring bad news , but you can be sure your water and gas bills will be going up , the utility companies are going to be saying they need to upgrade all the old cast-iron gas and water mains in the name of public safety and guess who will have to pay ? suggest you get online to your brokers/pension fund managers and tell them to buy stock in water and gas supply companies.

not trying to be facetious, but people will make money out of this ,

Re: Did the Earth move for you?

wonder just how much damage it has done. Hope nothing of significance has been damaged in lincolnshire. Guess we'll hear all about it the coming days, more about climate change etc .

My plants are doing well!

The first time I knew about the earthquake was when I was inundated with texts from students back at my accommodation and even friends back in Accrington. I blame not noticing on alcohol or the music with loud base going on upstairs.

I quoted your post because when I got a lift home the taxi driver was telling us about a "client" who was... getting intimate with somebody as it happened.

As far as I'm concerned nothing has been effected around where I live, but other areas of Hull have experienced fallen chimneys.

Re: Did the Earth move for you?

It woke me up and it sounded (in my sleepy state) like gravel being thrown at the window and the bed was shaking violently!! I was half asleep, but this morning I did wonder if I'd had some sort of fit during the night (I remembered shaking in bed).

I'm glad it was something that could be explained, as it did worry me this morning.
