Re: Yorkshire Bank in Accrington to Close

My good lady, (also refered to as the wife),and I, had an appointment yesterday with the switch team at Santander in Padiham. A very pleasant lady took us through all the in's and out's of switching from Yorkshire to Sandander, after two pots of tea (the wife not me) and a two hour discussion all was settled.

Hazel, (the wife) said, can I still have a pass book,"of course you can", can I still have a cheque book, "of course you can", can I still have bla bla bla, "of course you can".

Nothing was too much trouble, so after neary fifty year's of banking with Yorkshire all will be changed in a few day's.
Stay happy as alway's, Your's Taddy.

Re: Yorkshire Bank in Accrington to Close

My very first bank when I was 8.
I started with a round metal cash box with the apropiate slots for different amounts.
I'll bet the clerks wouldn't be too happy about emptying them these days.
Funnily enough I still have the passbook in my posession over 60 yrs later

Tal.
