Spot on beechy, my ex-wife served her time at James's Salon in Hassy and he did have the Sandpiper, He later moved to Rishton and had a salon on the Main drag Hermitage Street I think its called, sadly he died a few years ago, about 5 I would think. The last time I saw him he was singing at the Stop and Rest in Ossy with the Accy Rockers, well some of them, that was in the late nineties.

Roy Taylor was in the Tredwheels Al, a group i mentioned early in the thread, Mick Stirzaker still is into music, have a couple of his cds that he gave me n paris, spoke to him last week, is also giving guitar lessons to folk.

Nearly sure there was a big bloke played with them called Dave, can't think of his last name, but he used to work in a trade hardware store on a street which ran between Sandy Lane and Plantation Street, can't remember the street name or the store,
