Re: ACCY POP GROUPS 1960s

Just came across this website and seen my dad's name mention, Pete Hibbert, who sadly passed away earlier today and will be missed by many.

So very sad to hear that Heidi, i know your Dad hadn't been well for some time, he will indeed be sadly missed, but very fondly remembered. My condolences to you and the family! RIP Pete.

Best Regards - Taggy

PETE HIBBERT

Hello Heidi, so very pleased you contacted the website. I too have the "best" memories of your lovely Dad, from working with him (seems like a hundred years ago) at N.G.N. Ltd., Kirk Rd, Church, to going round Accy "following" his band - he had the BEST voice, to him decorating my hallway for me a few years back. One of the best!!!! A real pleasure to have known him.

Hi Heidi, I am so sorry to hear the news, wow that was a shock. I knew he'd been ill for a long time, but I didn't expect this. I never knew him that well in the 60's, more by reputation, but I did get to know him quite well in the late 80's and 90's, he used to come and watch the band I was in quite regularly. As you can see by the posts on here, he was a very popular bloke and will be sorely missed by many people. Rock on Pete!!

Having served as a apprenticeship alongside Pete at English Electric and later worked alongside him at NGN, may I add my personal tribute to a great guy who was loved by, and will be missed my very many people. I know he will add his great singing voice to any one of the celestial choirs that doubtless will be clamouring for his attention. Rest in peace, old friend.
