Definately go for it max ...Ive been driving since i was in my 20s but believe me now in my 40s im glad of the car esp in winter

I took my driving test in 2001 aged 43. It took me three attempts but I got there eventually. Just remember, while waiting to turn left at a set of traffic lights, a green arrow means go and don’t just sit there like a door handle waiting because you’ll fail the test like I did. hehe

Go for it - you're hardly geriatric! - if you're nervous, learn to drive an automatic, less to think about and less to deal with, although it does mean you can't drive a manual car. You couldn't possibly be any worse than some of the idiots on the road already!

It never to late to learn. I took up Scuba diving when I was 37. I am 40 this year and now living in Thailand. Wish I had dun it earlier tho. Give it a go, it should be fun
