Re: Prescription Sunglasses

vision express do an excellent range in prescription sunglasses, i think the nearest one is in the mall in blackburn, you might be able to get them from specsavers too

Re: Prescription Sunglasses

Never thought about that .. do you really mean 'prescription' or just asking if you can buy the reading glasses as in supermarkets, etc., but for the sun too? Would be interested myself, as find myself on holiday having to put on reading glasses and sun screen ones too.. look a right plonker.

Thanks Sara/Flashy.. sure these are around.

Re: Prescription Sunglasses

I got a pair from here , they cost me around £54.00, ideal for driving but they took two weeks to arrive 'Due to all the process involved with sunglasses'. They contacted me on several occasions and were very helpful.

Just had a look at that site: Welcome to Glasses 4 Less. What does the world look like through Less's specs?

Re: Prescription Sunglasses

Thanks for all your suggestions. (Yes Katex you can get prescription sunglasses.) Have been into all the opticians in Accrington and the cheapest works out at around £80, don't really want to spend that much as my glasses cost me a fortune only a few months back. Have looked on the web site Len, and it looks okay shall have a better look after work thanks. Phillip Pratt is still going flashy, think it's owned by two brothers now. Specsavers was expensive to shillelagh, you must have got yours when they were doing an offer. Once again thanks.

Re: Prescription Sunglasses

Have you tried teh place down clayton next to where Rileys snooker factory was? Turn right at hare and hounds (travelling from Accy) and its on your left just before the first minin roundabout. They were one of teh cheapest places when Julie and I needed glasses.

Re: Prescription Sunglasses

What I was actually trying to say Sara was .. don't need prescription glasses for reading as can buy these even in the Pound Shop.
Was wondering if they did magnifying glasses with a sun screen..hope this makes sense Prices quoted by our fellow members here seem ridiculously high.

Re: Prescription Sunglasses

you could just have your own ones tinted dark then removed once you've come back. This is possible i know that Spex on Church street do this.
