C.J. Sansom 'Sovereign' A murder mystery story set in Tudor times. Centres around the theory that HenryVIII was not the true monarch. I'm into the last few pages and I have enjoyed it.
My next read is going to be Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold.....I have read it before, but I am going to read it again.

have just read Matron Knows Best am now reading Yes Sister,No Sister. both autobiographies and good reading especially the first one. Gives jolly good insight to how the NHS was and how it is now.

Yes Bernard, I am. I know I was a bit dubious about getting one(well, no......a lot dubious) but it has been worth every penny.
Especially for books like the CJ Sansom ones....they are in excess of 500 pages long in paperback.......a bit wieghty for reading in bed....but with the Kindle it is no problem.
If you are unsure it might be worthwhile looking on E-bay for a second hand one.......some people may upgrade to the newer model...which is slightly smaller and weighs a little less....and you could pick up a bargain. Mine was second hand, from EBay.

correction from my last post. These books are not autobiographies but are from memories of Matron who in the early 1960s left to school and enrolled at Blackburn Royal Infirmary and her experiences on the way.
The Sister being again student nurse rising to Sister in Yorkshire in the 50s.

I didn't rate Matron Knows Best. I was working at the same hospital as the writer, at roughly the same time too.......her memories were, how shall I put this? A little inaccurate.(I know memory can play funny tricks sometimes so I am not saying the inaccuracies were on purpose) I would probably have enjoyed it, had I not known the place, worked with the people and had some similar experiences.

Bernard if your thinking of getting a e-book reader then get one i have a Sony reader and would not be without it they are very handy.
not sure about the kindle but my Sony touch screen will show pics and play mp3 music files too
