Old thread, however I assume the £60 was spent because they wanted to be wireless.

If they wanted to be wired the could plug into the router direct with it.

I wonder how the OP got on with it?...

If you made the USB bootable disk you mentioned, it will load a linux OS so you can then mount the drive and look it over.

They are not cheap laptops, so a very lucky find.

So yes you need an external drive, however if it has an esata slot then you can get a cheap adapter to enable it to use an...

Yo can always take the dvd rom out and put it in this one (temporarily).

It's not hard.

O good, its Aluminium alloy rather than Brass - may last longer :D

In the 2nd picture you can see what I mean about the base stones being different, most are a sandstone colour while the corner...

When they were putting the slabs on the bottom of this the front left corner - they put it upside down (cemented in too). And then when you look at it now (the right way up) its actually a different...

FWIW, I just made a bootable USB drive that will crack XP & Vista passwords using the post I made above this one, and it was really easy.

Use a 1gb pendrive.

An internal dvd is about £20.

If you have access to the bios? (check this) see if you can set it to boot from USB.

If you can,, then you can make a USB boot disk - there are plenty of sites...

Thunderbird will do nowt for a web based email system as it is that, that gets hacked - not the pc. :D

It means that someone may have sent the email to appear to be from your email address even though it was not. Less likely with hotmail given how easy it must be to hack it.

Yes - if you can still get into it then change your password.

Although it may just be that your being spoofed.
