Re: Shrimps Away...

Got what we deserved last night on and off the pitch. Dreadful performance from the team and our fans continually singing about someone having a heart attack wasn’t a great way to represent our club.

Re: Burton away match thread

I going to disagree with you. I don’t know Dion as a person, however judging by the way he plays the game, I’d be amazed if he’s not putting the effort in in training. Coley has dug his heels in and,...

Re: Pompey thread

Great post. Would add that I thought we pressed them really well and our tackling had real bite

Re: Itma !!.. A gillingham thread !.

Would be great to get a discussion going - what are your thoughts on women’s involvement in men’s professional football?

Thanks for clarifying your point of view. You could have done it without the personal insult

Re: The Shrewsbury match thread.

One of the great things about football is that it’s a game of opinions and we all see things through slightly different lenses. I’ve watched the highlights of last nights game back 4 times and still...

Re: The Shrewsbury match thread.

Just listened to Coley’s post match interview. Fairly balanced, showed his experience and agree with his comments warning against knee jerk reactions. Disappointed he didn’t refer to our poor...

Re: The Shrewsbury match thread.

Posting in my immediate post match emotion to help me get over this! Worked hard to get in front and so pleased for Bishop and Charles to get their goals. Felt we started to play with a swagger and...

Re: The Luton thread

A clown? Hughes has a no.3 on his back, McConville has 11. Hughes is well built and about 6’ tall - Sean is slightly built and and 5’9”. They’re always getting confused with each other!

Re: The Luton thread

It was Hughes that played the back pass for the first penalty

Re: Clayton End v Derby

Lord, I trust you won’t mind a mere commoner speaking up. I agree with most of your post, however, I think we should be disappointed. Our club has come such a long way, I for one am enjoying the...

👍 I’ll edit my original sentence to clarify ‘....a philosophy where if the manager thinks you’re good enough.....’

Re: January transfer window.

Cashy, will politely disagree with comment. For me, there’s clear daylight between them. Agree, Ripley a bit more to do consistency wise to be a Championship regular, however he’s going in right...

Re: January transfer window.

Unless significant change, the transfer windows are here as part and parcel of football. We also need to accept our place in the football pecking order and that we will be viewed as a supply source...

Re: January transfer window.

If we look at teams in our league who are doing well, they all have pace going forward. Selling Jackson robbed us of this and we are obviously missing that element of what made us successful last...

Re: Bratfud game thread

Don’t panic! Trying to put a bit of balance into things. We’ve been under par in the last 2 games and been well beaten, however, in balance, we’re mid table one level up from last season and...

Re: vs Peterborough

As others have already said, too many of our players had off days yesterday. I’ll add a couple of other observations. Thought Ripley was at fault for the first three goals - 1st and 3rd were similar...

Re: Cod Army Thread

Eight games into the season now, an first game apart, I’ve not seen anything that says our team can’t hold itself at this level. With a little more luck, we’d have had 4 more points, however, all...

Re: Charlton - Finley is our new god!

They say football’s a game of opinions and we all see different things in a game. A number of people commenting that they thought Ben had a good game, however, I just didn’t see it. He gave a...

Re: Morecambe V Stanley Match Thread

Sat high up in stand and got different perspective from normal view. Thing that really struck me was Jackson's movement that I hadn't appreciated before. Very impressed with him today

Re: Crewe

Got to question Brown's overall discipline and number of games that causes him to miss. He's been sent off 3 times this season, resulting in him being banned for 10 games. Add in the 2 games he...

Re: Former Players!

Been speaking to my father-in-law this afternoon and he's looking to trace a couple of ex Stanley players to get in touch with them. He used to play cricket with Don Bramley and worked with Mel...
