My house was flooded about 15 years ago. The whole downstairs was under a foot of water. Fortunately I was fully insured. It took a week for the house to dry out, during which the Insurance company...

Re: The C word

Yes it is sad that people are forced to spend Christmas alone when they don't want to.

Re: Is it April 1st?

Its not April Fools Day. That came the first time any PUBLIC service was put out to PRIVATE tender.

Don't blame SERCO. They are contracted to provide a service to the Home Office, and in this...

Re: Labour Leadership Contest

Whatever the shortcomings of the new Labour leadership, the fact is that they are shortly to become the only refuge for millions of voters about to find out what the Conservative austerity programme...

Looks like this man is going to be a major figure in the next few months as America goes to the polls.

This person has to be the most odious individual seeking public office in living memory (ok...

I support the idea of a Head of State who stands ABOVE the cut and thrust of political arguments. It gives a stability and permanence to our whole political process.

I hate the obsequious,...

There are PLENTY of people who DO crave them. So rather than moaning at people trying to get pictures of the kids, the easy thing to do is flood them with...

Re: How the mighty has fallen
