Re: Swindon Away Thread

To come from behind & win a game away from home shows courage & guts.

Re: Bradford (We are next to bottom of the form table) thread

You can't make a silk purse from a sow's ear
Without doubt the poorest squad we have had since our non-league days

Re: Coleman and Bell sacked

Frankly, how anyone can criticise Andy Holt for being unprofessional & making personal decisions is laughable!
HE OWNS THE CLUB!
Reading his statement it is fair, honest & above all logical.
If...

Re: Coleman and Bell sacked

IMHO Andy Holt has displayed the patience of a saint when it comes to our not so dearly departed management.
After last seasons fiasco, where what little budget we had was squandered on a bunch of...

Re: Season 18

Talking of the above, I see that the team Stanley couldn't defeat over 3 games were demolished at home today 0-5 by Ged Brannan's Morecambe.
Since he took over the reigns 3 weeks ago they're...

Re: Season 18

Well Val, shall we compare the current fortunes of Barrow v Stanley's present situation.
1. Do Barrow have a millionaire backer? .....No!
2. Do Barrow have bigger gates than Stanley? .....No! (av'g...

Re: Season 18

Well done Exile. The form table cannot lie.
But wait, look who's at the top!!!
Oh the cries of derision before we kicked a ball in L2.
How some guffawed at the prospect of playing BARROW
Well, no...

Re: Colchester come calling thread.

Notwithstanding individual players qualities, our managers inability to change tactics when things go wrong played a large part in our relegation last season IMHO.
Some will say our managers past...

Re: Colchester come calling thread.

So the baaa's came with a game plan - and it worked!
The devious beggars! Bet they laughed all the way home.
Stand by for other visitors adopting exactly the same methods.
Our management should...

Re: Just NOT what we need........

When AH referred to 'losing the fans' perhaps he meant losing the full houses we regularly got in L1 from the bigger visiting clubs.
Can't imagine he meant our own fans. Stanley's home support has...

Re: Just NOT what we need........

I bet they didn't my friend.
One the one hand we have a man who invested his hard earned cash in saving our club from bankruptcy, developed the ground from an embarrassing hovel into a decent...

Re: 2023-24 Prediction League; Game 12 v Forest Green Rovers (home)

So they've lost their last 5 games.
Well that's the kiss of death for us.
Troy Deeney to run riot!
Stanley 1 - 3 Forest Greenpeace

Re: Another home defeat? Stockport (Home) Thread

My real concern Yonmon, is that no lessons appear to have been learned from last seasons debacle.
Players apart, nothing has changed. We still use the same predictable game plan/formation that saw...

Re: Another home defeat? Stockport (Home) Thread

It dawned on most half-way through last season that our then L1 squad was barely adequate to survive L2.
Add the loss of the few good players we had to a woeful recruitment policy & the same failed...

Re: Toby Savin

The next 2 months will prove whether Savin is an asset or a liability.
I've always felt for every brilliant save, he makes 3 howlers.
Interesting to see if our goals against tally improves?

Re: Its the Tranmere away chit-chat thread.

[QUOTE=Watchdog;1274526]Mr Coleman keeps telling us what went wrong but he never tells us what he's going to do in putting things right.
