Flashy, the census is wrong. It also says that Jim was born in Fulham, but I have a copy of his birth certificate and he was born in Tottenham. We are from the same family.

We've had discussions about this before but you weren't convinced we were from the same family. The details that have been posted about Angus being born in Fulham prove that we are.

As far as I know all of the McLeans originating from Accrington/Church/Ossy area in the last 30 years all descend from the same family - Archie and Mary, who came to Accrington from...

No problem. It's a subject that can really hurt the old noggin' once you start looking at family relationships things can get confusing.... What's needed is for you to work out who your relations are...

In 1901 there was only one McLean family in Accrington. Most of us will be related. At some point.

I'll bet it's not co-incidence...... I've been tracing the family tree for about ten years and believe me I've been up a few blind alleys and can smell a trail when when it's there!!

My Dad is Jim McLean and my Mum is Joan Westwood, Less's sister.

Jim McLean (my Dad) is the son of Jim McLean, son of Jim McLean son of Archie McLean (Born 1846) who settled in Accrington around...
