If my child had gone missing I would have been desperate to see any possible sighting as positive. They did seem to dismiss this very quickly.

I absolutely agree there Ian. They would have been watched, which is why it makes it even more implausible that they could have hired a car 25 days later in order to dispose of a decomposing body...

Why should it be unusual for the car to have her DNA though? I mean how strange would it be for the parents to have something in their possession which had the child's DNA? A hair on a garment they...

Apparently they have to make her a formal suspect before they can ask her some questions they want to ask. It sounds a weird legal system they have over there.

Sometimes events in a person's own life can give them a very cynical outlook. Perhaps in a few years time when life is different they will look back and see how heartless they sounded.

That sounds awfully cruel. Exploiting their daughter's disappearance in order to stay abroad? Could you really believe that? As a parent I can understand the need to feel close to where the child was...

I think I can see their point in not saying much because then the suspects are less likely to panic. The child's safety is the most important thing.

There's another thought about why the police may have wanted to keep quiet about the eye. If the kidnappers still believe they can disguise the child and get away with keeping or selling her then...

If they know who used the neighbouring flat presumably they can look for those people and at least if they are nothing to do with it they can be eliminated.
