Re: Coronovirus

It’s been farcical since day one. Now it’s bdyond madness.

Re: Coronovirus

Out of interest, as we don’t have a telly, are the commercial broadcasters who are currently televising the PL games squeezing in ads during the mid-half drinks breaks?

Why not play the rest of the season on ‘neutral’ beaches! ;)

Re: Coronovirus

What did 12 clubs (presumably in L1) vote for?
And am I right in assuming for the EFL proposals to be carried all 3 leagues have to have a majority of at least 51% in favour?

Re: Coronovirus

Yes, but that was real noise from real fans. Not sure ‘canned’ noise is what people really want.

Be careful what you wish for in moving with times.

Re: Coronovirus

We haven’t had a TV for 30 years but even I can understand why broadcasters would welcome VAR. In their eyes they see it as adding unpredictable ‘drama‘ that can help hold their audience just long...

Agree.
One of best grounds for music (imho) is Wimbledon’s (Cherry Records is one of the sponsors) and one of the worst for defeaning levels was Cheltenham - could barely talk to someone sitting...

Re: Coronovirus

You never know, if only half of this guy’s worst fears come true, more fans might actually prefer to watch ‘real’ football in the lower leagues than ‘sanitised no-futbol’.

These Korean ‘fans’ seem to be really enjoying themselves, although the one in the white t-shirt might be in trouble for gestering to the ref!

Re: Coronovirus

If Satanage aren’t to be relegated (as stated in above link) and Leagues are not to increase in numbers, then presumably Barrow could go up if only three clubs from L1 went down.

Re: Coronovirus

If this closed-doors nonsense happens, what’s the likelihood, after the first few matches, that the broadcasters use ‘canned’ crowd effects to spice it up?
