Would that be the Mr Lang Bridge who started the engineering works at Exchange Street Spring Hill, where did he live in Accrington do we know much about him.

Good answer but not the one I am looking for.

There are a lot of large houses either side of the road from Oakleigh to the Greyhound pub some with very large gardens.

I have read this post from start to now and really enjoyed all the posts. The problem I have is that having lived in Clayton -le-Moors for 25 years, and as a teenager walked nearly every Saturday...
