Re: Tractor Boys game

Lord Stiff .... i think even after the return of King Billy that Prince Charles is a better option.

Don't think Billy scored anywhere near enough last season, (apart from pens) nor did the team...

Clark was magic today, great to see that partnership with Johnson working well again.

Re: Rochdale thread

The paedophilic songs and general shouting were tiresome beyond belief. The bloke at the end who aggressively approached the Rochdale fans such a knob.
However, apart from that a great atmosphere...

Re: Rochdale thread

Oops re Pritchard! What a goal.
Exciting game, a one sided game, and we played well.
Our shooting, however, continues to be appalling. Embarrassing at times how poor it is.
Rochdale are very...

Re: Rochdale thread

Ridiculous. They are ****e. How are we losing this?
Not looking for a scapegoat but Don’t get Pritchard - seems very poor to me.

Re: Oxford match thread

Last season I didnt think Evtimov was reliable enough. Seemed a bit mental to me.
This season he’s calmed down, is a good shot stopper and good enough generally. I like him.
Also, the Evtimov song...

Re: Oxford match thread

Fairly exciting match, we had more chances.
Quality not really there, bit scrappy.
Ref missed a dead cert penalty when Hughes was pulled back. Thereafter it got a bit bad tempered and loads of...

Refs have been pretty solid in the games I’ve seen.

Re: Blackpool Match Thread.

Also, the new rule re passing it to a player inside the box from a goal kick. Seems sensible to me, but anyone know why there was a rule previously that said you had to pass it outside the box?

Re: Blackpool Match Thread.

Exile - yup, agreed. Surely can’t be that difficult to get sound levels right?

Ref - seemed ok to me. Thought our first booking was a bit harsh and yes, we should have had a corner, but over 90...

Re: Blackpool Match Thread.

Think if you have a look at the Blackpool forum you’ll find most of the fans are keen for the culprits to be identified, since it will be the fans collectively that suffer.
There’s always a few...

Re: Blackpool Match Thread.

I thought Opoku and Evtimov might have been candidates for MOTM today.... underwhelmed by Simpson and Pritchard. Pritchard seems to boot all his crosses miles too far.
Overall a scrappy game. Finlay...

Re: Sunderland match thread

I though Dion was very good. Him and Sam (first half excellent) were the standout players.
Not convinced about Pickford.
Largely agree with Cashy’s Assessment. Played ok, gifted them two goals.

Time wasting possibly? Etimov was told by the ref to hurry up.

Re: Fleetwood Match Thread EFL Trophy

There's a spectrum isn't there.... at one end is the football fan purist who believes that not going to Yeovil for a reserve match on a cold winter evening is an act of betrayal against the club....

Re: The Shrewsbury match thread.

Gosh! I’m stunned by the generally negative tone on here and even criticism of Our maradona (ie, Sam Finley).
Plenty to admire yesterday, in my humble opinion, and cause for optimism... cum on...

Re: The Shrewsbury match thread.

Thought Finley was MOTM tonight. Great first half. But Clark was also ace.

Entertaining game, we passed and moved well.

They always looked fast and dangerous on the attack.

Re: Carabao Cup Match

I thought Finley was superb but none of the new players impressed.
Fairly close game, and reasonably entertaining but the Makems shaded it.
A few more ground improvements to admire- not least a...

Re: Retained list 2019/20

I never rated him that much until later on in the promotion season when I thought he was outstanding. Always gave it his all, and very dependable.

Re: Pre-season

Andy Holt might have put a bit of cash in, but all he's done is fixed the leaking roof, got us some double glazing and got us where we can manage our outgoings/revenue in a reasonable manner. In...

Re: Growing fan base

Is the increase due to Andy Holt or simply because we’ve gone up a division?
I remember looking at stats for various teams who have been promoted and it’s the same pattern.
(I greatly admire what...

which players could be sold for a decent fee?
Sykes, Johnson, Clark, Kee and Finley are the only ones who would raise any significant dosh I'd assume?
