Thumbs up Facebook users, claim your username.

Today facebook has started allowing there members to chose there own user names.

What is a Facebook username?

You can personalize your Facebook URL (web address) by selecting a unique username. It will appear in the location bar of your browser after "http://www.facebook.com/" when you view your profile.

So now is a good time to claim your custom username for facebook. Claim it now and you might be able to have what you want.

i.e “joe bloggs" instead of “joe bloggs 254” because someone else has already chosen “joe bloggs”.

http://www.facebook.com/username.
You may have to be logged into your facebook account for the link above to work

Demo;
http://www.facebook.com/accylen

Good luck

Re: Facebook users, claim your username.

Thanks Len.

Pity you can't have a username and your real name.

Although I liked being Garinda, because there aren't many, no one could find me that didn't know me by this fairly recent nickname.

So I've recently reverted to my real name.

I like being slightly out of step with everyone else.

Re: Facebook users, claim your username.

I was a little confused...no suprise there!

I thought you'd lose your name for the username, but you don't.

My page still shows my name, but as the address garinda, instead of all those numbers.
