Nah, it would all come out and mix with the salt water, when he wants his sponge wetting he passes it to someone at the top and he dips it in a bucket of clean water :-)

That’s a good idea and it’ll stop all the muck from contaminating the tank.
I wonder if he doesn’t do it if it’s raining. I know mine doesn’t.

He doesn't do the outside when it's raining, he doesn't like getting wet :-)
