Sorry ACCYMAD....but it WAS a PENALTY for sure!
I was stood only 7 yards away right behind the goal on the Clayton End...
Rommy jumped up to attempt a header and Tom Aldred came barging into him from 4 or 5 yards away across the face of goal. Hundreds of the Stanley Faithful on the Clayton End agreed with me, as we rose in unison with the penalty claim!
For once I can applaud the referee! He got it 'Spot On', (if you pardon the pun?) |
