This man was a narcissist and a psychopath.
He loved the limelight. He thought he was clever, but he wasn't clever enough to gain fame by any other means than by murdering children and exerting influence over Myra Hindley.

Ever since his conviction he has had the police on a string because he knew where the bodies were and that gave him some control. His life was all about control...especially those he thought were weaker than he was. In his eyes knowledge was power...and while he retained the knowledge of where the bodies were, he had control over the police.

He would absolutely revel in the current media coverage. It would have fed his ego no end.
I think the media should have just reported his death and said nothing more about him.
If I were a funeral director I would not touch his funeral with a barge pole...likewise a crematoria...they should refuse point blank to handle his disposal.
