Another Draw Propels Cashy To The Top
Cashman now sits top of our rankings on countback after being one of eight non-maxi-drawmongers
last Saturday. Apart from those eight, only three of you picked up a single bonus point
by forecasting a clean sheet at one end or the other. And there were no maxis this time around
. So ......
Top 3 all now on 35 points
, Cashy and Taypot having closed the 3-point gap to last week's leader Shurm. Podium position is purely down to numbers of maxis scored (a maxi being a "W" in our table), where Cashy 2 plays Shurm 1 plays Taypot 0.
Some big jumps
for the other drawmongers, LongLostSon climbing from 11= to 7th, Ossy Kid 16th to 9th, AccyTom18 19th to 14th, Ange B and Lord Stiffupperlip (in step) from 24= to 18= and Watchdog 26th to 22nd. The last DM was Kiwi John, remaining resolutely in 27th
but in sniffing distance of other backmarkers now. And his single point was enough for Tom D to sneak back into the elite at 10=, AccyMad and Div3North being ejected from said elite
to make room for the upcomers.
So next up are the magic of the FA Cup
and the less magical Trophy
, the magic bit being time off for D3N and myself
as we don't count cup games (which is one excuse for me being a bit tardy with this report). Normal business will resume when we entertain high-flying Argyle
at the Crown on Saturday week to deliver a good Whamming (or should that be entertaining them at the Wham to give them a good crowning? - no, perhaps too early for that). 3 games unbeaten sounds sort of OK, but it could easily turn into 3 games without a win, so let's stop that happening lads, OK?
