Kids Dont know they're born today!!
After watching Peter Kay again last nite & the subject of childhoods came up so i thought what a good thread to open here for a laugh & cringe at the ole days.
I remember when on a hot boring day i used to love nothing better than to pop the tar in between the cracks of the cobbles in the alleys to see if i could find the ones that squirted water back at you lol altho seem to remember countless times of getting in trouble for ruining my clothes with tar .
He mentioned those multi coloured strips for the door u can now get at the poundshop now that to stop insects but was an excuse for us kids to get tangled or maypole them - just remembered they dont seem to do that a lot these days the maypole i mean lol.
Hey tv of the days before sky, that some are now on UKgold but kids tv of the times, like Why Dont You & Saturday swopshop & Going LIve????....what happened to that LOL, good ole afternoon of Lassie & littlest Hobo. Tho they still replay the ole tv gameshows n thought Jeremy Beadle was gr8 LOL.
Technology of the days, the ole Atari, the orange thingy that you could play tennis blip-blip LOL, spectrum 48k & ZX those dreaded tapes screeching for 10mins just to load a game up like paperboy, jet set willy etc. The ole pc's like the BBC's with the green monitor & 5 1/2 floppys done in DOS type
Cars that wasn't so popular & lucky to have them in those days, my dad had various fords, like the angle box, various mrk escorts & a hunter that didnt last long.
Xmas toys.... lol, Chav brought up about speak & spell ekkkk , the rubix cube & cabage Patch dolls etc
Sweets.... black jacks, tub lollys, caramac's, the marathon now snickers etc.
Just think our kids will be reminising over playstations, DVDs, sky tv etc scary thought & say to their kids they dont know they were born LOL
