True the state of the parks are not what they used to be, but what can you expect from a council that slashes grounds staff, i happen to know the park keeper at gatty & milnshaw and there is just him for both parks. and when he has to contend with threats of violence from groups of youths on their way to and from school, its a sad state of affairs
i think we as individuals should do more to care for the place we live, i for one have made a start, i have taken some of the kids that "messed about" on the bowling green and turned them into a football team see

its all well and good just blaming the council but i feel we all need to be responsible for our own sake, and its to easy to just push the blame at others feet,
we need to educate for the future rather than just patch up the present
