Grays getting help

From Exeter City's official site:

What Stimson Said To Inglethorpe

Following City's 3-0 defeat at Grays last night, the two managers were seen deep in conversation.

Exeter City would like to issue the following statement regarding exactly what was discussed between the pair over the course of yesterday evening.

City boss Alex Inglethorpe was informed by Grays manager Mark Stimson that prior to the last two meetings between the sides (the FA Trophy second leg and last night's Conference clash) he had been contacted within "inside information" regarding the make up of the Exeter side.

Stimson has reportedly been phoned anonymously by someone claiming to be the father of a City player. The caller apparently told the Grays boss exactly what starting line up The Grecians would be using, the formation that would be played, and the tactics that would be adopted.

Operations Director Frances Farley today told exetercityfc.co.uk "This is a very serious accusation and the directors want to let our supporters know that we are investigating the matter. If this allegation is proved then this would be a clear case of gross misconduct and any player concerned would obviously have no future at the club."

This is a serious allegation which the club will now begin investigating.
You just couldn't make it up!
