I hadn't seen this thread, it has just been linked from another.
After our conversation about this shaz I was thinking ...... have you approached the Fathers of the church's that your family are known to? I know I used the term 'shop around' but some Priests have moved forward more than others. Ian's dad is a practicing catholic and attends St Marys every Sunday etc. but Father Bourke wouldn't baptise ours because Ian isn't a practicing catholic but Father Walsh from Sacred Heart would.
Have you considered catholicism yourself or is that just a no go?
If it means that much to you that you want Reece brought up catholic don't give up after an altercation with just one Priest there is many more out there that would be glad to baptise him.
